THIRD TERM ORAL TASK

 With a partner, act out two dialogues. 

In one of the dialogues you are talking about a flight you are taking together (Discussing travel plans)

In the other dialogue, one of you will be the customer checking in to a hotel and the other person will be an hotel receptionist. (checking in to a hotel)

Use the models on pages 114 and 108 to help you and the handouts provided by your teacher.

Remember to send your teacher the transcripts of the conversations and the videos.

Granada Theme Tour

 With a classmate, invent a theme tour located in the town or in the province of Granada and create a dialogue where one of you asks the details of the guided tour to the other. Then, reverse roles, and act out another dialogue where you book a flight to travel somewhere. Use the activities on page 98 and page 42 to help you.

If you don't have a classmate, pretend you are a travel agent who receives a phone call from a client who wants to make a reservation for a flight and to go on a theme tour in Granada.

Remember to send your teacher the advert, the dialogue and the videos.

Tourist Office task: Welcome to Granada

CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TASKS AND RECORD A VIDEO OR AN AUDIO MESSAGE.

For the evaluation of the task, the following things will be taken into consideration:
-length (less than two minutes won't be acceptable)
-pronunciation and fluency
-content
-layout and design


TASK 1. (individual task)A group of retired historians is planning to stay in Granada for three days and they have contacted you requiring information about the city. Record a message giving them all of the following  recommendations related to:
-what to do
-where to eat/drink
-getting around (they are coming by plane)
-where to stay
-surrounding area and day trips.
-other useful information you might consider


TASK 2(individual task)A group of sportsmen is planning to stay in Granada for three days and they have contacted you requiring information about the city. Record a message giving them all of the following  recommendations related to:
-what to do
-where to eat/drink
-getting around (they are coming by train)
-where to stay
-surrounding area and day trips.
-other useful information you might consider


TASK 3(individual task)A group of women going on a hen party is planning to stay in Granada for three days and they have contacted you requiring information about the city. Record a message giving them all of the following  recommendations  related to:
-what to do
-where to eat/drink
-getting around (they are coming by car)
-where to stay
-surrounding area and day trips.
-other useful information you might consider

TASK 4. (pairwork)
Student A. Imagine you are visitor to Granada. Ask  questions using the following ideas (at least 4 questions):
-a good area for nightlife.
-a nice place to go for a coffee/picnic.
-an affordable place to eat.
-an interesting place for a day trip.
-somewhere you can go for a walk.
-the best place to go shopping.
-give directions to go somewhere.
-ask about means of transport.
-one extra question of your choice.
Student B. Give information to student A.
Then, swap roles.

Walking Around My Region

We are going to work in our integrated project "Walking around my Region". To do so, you will divide into teams of three or four members. Each team will research on one of the following towns:
-Moraleda de Zafayona
-Alhama de Granada
-Montefrío
-Huétor-Tájar
-Loja

After your research, you will present the classroom a tourist brochure with information about one of these towns (Group task). 
This is the rubric we will use to evaluate your work.

Each member of the team will research about a different aspect(individual task).We will use this rubric your mark your presentation:
Member 1: Write a restaurant review(Read some examples here).
You can use this worksheet, too.
Member 2: Talk about a typical dish from this town (starter, main dish, or dessert) Explain how to prepare it. Don't forget to include connectors of sequence in your recipe.(Have a look at this example)

-Vegetable vocabulary

Member 3: Write about accommodation in the zone.Include the following information:
 Type of Accomodation. Complete the following information as much as you can. Don´t worry if you can´t find all the information. Some towns may not have that type of accommodation!
